REMIX OF NY’S FINEST ON BASSLINE RECORDS COMING SOON

I’m pretty pretty sure you can not imagine how happy I am at the moment.

Once upon a time there was a house music label based in New York City with lots of good producers on it like Mr. Victor Simonelli a.k.a NY’s Finest, Laura Alford, Jocelyn Brown, big man Colonel Abrams, Tony Humpries or Connie Harvey, just to name a few! The name of the label was Bassline Records.

It was in 1993 when stompin’ piano house cut ‘Do You Feel Me’ by Victor Simonelli a.k.a NY’s Finest was released (please don’t tell me you don’t know which track it is). Now, in 2013, they are preparing the ‘20th Birthday Release’ which I am involved in. I was asked by Victor himself to collaborate on his release with my remix thang. I was, of course, ready to do it!

‘20th Birthday Release’
will be released on Bassline Records with other remixes soon. You can preview and love&share my remix of this uplifting house cut in Soundcloud player below (or here).

Thank you so much Victor, I owe you!

Grigory Babak

I was listening to his music on Soundcloud recently and I think that he is one bumpin’ producer who will achieve a lot of respect in the future times.

I mean, I’m not a person who writes this “ctrl+c / ctrl+v” text to all producers and djs. There are 400 something followers of my Soundcloud account but his music makes me ‘WANNA DANCE’.

We think it could be pumpin’ to work together on EP. Now you just have to wait for some house cuts.

UNITY HOUSE CLUB

I am so proud to introduce you to my new club night called the UNITY HOUSE CLUB which will take the place at Tabačka Kulturfabrik venue.

It will be my first night so feel free to come, to drink something or to shake your hips and please don’t forget to bring friends with you to dance to New York house, Chicago house, London house and 90’s garage.

Dillon yourself before your gig.

I think listening to non-dance music is the best way how to prepare yourself for a good gig.

Dominique Dillon de Byington aka Dillon is my favourite woman singer because she really knows how to use her beautiful voice to make you feel good. I discovered her music some years ago, back in 2009 myspace era.

You should check out youtube videos (1, 2, 3), listen to Red Bull’s Fireside Chat or buy her debut album on BPitch Control. It’s not just about house. Relax.

Poland part two.

“Good set. See you soon in Paris, man”, said the fan who left our backstage on sunday early morning in 1500m2.

Our first party as a ‘reunion’ in Warsaw was simply perfect. Stage number ONE with headliner Randomer and stage number TWO filled and headlined by us.

8 out of 10 people were Spaniards. Another pretty girls and another cool boys. After 5 hours of djing we thought It might be cool to end our set with b2b2b set with Dmit.ry, Mitewort and me.

Lubię to!

P.S.

The reason why I really appreciate Polish dance music people is their polite behaviour to a DJ. They know when to talk to you, when to clap their hands with you and they know when to surprise you with a cup full of beer.

Poland part one.

I think it is about time to use this blog as a blog and not just like page for my upcoming events.

I’ll release my Beach House 303 track on the Top Billin X Neo Violence czecho-slovak compilation soon. According to this release, a few of us were invited to play in Polish clubs dwa Pietra in Lublin and 1500m2 in Warsaw

Dmit.ry, Neo Violence boss, Mitewort, brothers Veit B,  our own photographer David Karas and me. We were playing in Lublin yesterday and I think it was the best party I’ve ever played in my life. The crowd was graceful, girls were pretty, boys were cool and the whole club was bouncing.

Right now we are on our way straight to the Warsaw rented apartment. Everyone of us on the bus is ‘laptop friendly’ listening and selecting trax for tonight’s party.
